Jennifer Love Hewitt -- CBS PRIMETIME*

COLORADO-BASED SINGER/SONGWRITER, TIM HANAUER, STARTED OUT AT THE AGE OF 17.  Recently, the prolific
artist has been making up for lost time.  His accomplishments in the passed three months include a song placement
on The Ghost Whisperer on CBS PRIMETIME; earning the first track spot on the Mountain Homegrown Volume IV
compilation from Denver’s KQMT radio station; and releasing his debut record, Boomerang.

“The first song I ever taught my self how to play was Nirvana’s ‘Come as you are,’” Tim recalls.  “My little sister got a
cheap little guitar for her birthday and I played it until it broke a week later.  It wasn’t until I graduated from high
school that I got my $100 pawnshop Alvarez as a gift from my dad and his husband.  It was his husband, Faren, who
taught me the basics of good songwriting—hooks, choruses, bridges.  Then, after high school, I moved out of my mom’s
house and into my dad’s basement.  I became nocturnal.  For a couple of months, all I did was write songs, eat ice
cream and watch old Star Trek reruns with my dad.”

Tim was writing songs the day he received his first guitar.  “It’s an addiction.  I can admit it, but I can’t overcome it.  I’ve
always been a thoughtful, reflective sort of person.  In high school, I wore old corduroy sports coats, carried my books
in an external frame backpack, and wrote romantic poetry.  A lot has happened to me since then—my dad passed away
a few years ago; I fell in love, went to college, lived over seas; but, I am the same spirit.  Life continues to provide so
many great things to write about.”

After ten years, and hundreds of written songs, the newcomer is gaining national success.  When “Yellow Raincoat”
aired on The Ghost Whisperer episode, “Ghost, Interrupted,” in October, listeners from around the world heard Tim’s
voice for the first time.  “It was a fantastic first placement,” Tim says, “Friday night, Primetime, one of the biggest
networks in America.  There it was: Jennifer Love Hewitt in an intimate scene with David Conrad—and, me singing in
the background.”

In November, Denver’s KQMT, The Mountain, released Mountain Homegrown Volume IV with Tim’s cover of “8 Days a
Week” at track 1.  The compellation has sold thousands of copies in the Denver/Boulder area.  “Tim’s really popular
and he’s really good; but, you catch him live, and you’re like, oh my god, this guy is so great,” says Jake Schroeder, DJ
at KQMT.  “He just smoked this tune.  He out-Mayers [John] Mayer on this one.  He’s just so clever and so hip.” Tim’s
track currently gets frequent airplay on the station.

Boomerang, Tim’s debut record, was produced by fellow singer/songwriter and upcoming independent producer,
Christopher Jak (440 Records).  “Boomerang really began over a late night pool game.  Chris Jak and I were talking
about music and I got to talking about my record and what I wanted it to be like.  I’d been struggling and failing to
make it happen for two years.  Then, Chris started talking about his vision of my record. Our ideas fit perfectly
together.  If I had an idea, he knew how to make it happen.  Then and there I asked him to produce my record.”  After
a sixteen-month effort, the record is now in stores.

Recent performances have placed Tim in the spotlight at The Capital Hill People’s Fair, Fort Collins High School Prom,
The Mountain Acoustic Showcase (KQMT), and at NewWestFest in Fort Collins.  Tim has also performed at local
colleges, including Colorado State University, and Front Range Community College.

Over the passed few years, Tim has shared stages with Guster, Less than Jake, The Toasters, On Second Thought,
Tinker’s Punishment, Victor Barnes, The Lush Life, Christopher Jak and many others.

Radio appearances include spots on KRFC - Fort Collins, KCSU - Fort Collins, and KQMT - Denver/Boulder.

Audiences often compare his sensitive and lively style to the styles of Jack Johnson and John Mayer.  Boomerang
blends honest, folk-tinged songs with Americana pop/rock.

Boomerang is available at CDbaby, iTunes, and a variety of other online retailers.
